UMANG

 Umang (Unified Mobile App for New-Age Governance) envisioned to be the "Mobile First" of the Integrated Mobile App for New Age Governance.  It has been developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National E-Governance Division (NeGD).

 It is an emerging platform designed for citizens of India to provide access to pan-India e-government services from central, state and local bodies and government agencies across the app, web, SMS and IVR channels.

 Key Features:

•  - Unified Platform: All government departments and their services are brought together in a single platform to provide better and easier services to citizens.
•  - Mobile First Strategy: It aligns all government services with the Mobile First Strategy to take advantage of mobile adoption trends.
•  - Integration with Digital India Services: It provides seamless integration with other Digital India services such as Aadhaar, DigiLocker and Paygo.  Any such new service will automatically integrate with the platform.
•  - Unified Experience: It is designed to enable citizens to easily find, download, access and use all government services.
•  - Secure and Measurable: It supports Aadhaar-based and other authentication mechanisms for service access.  Sensitive profile data is saved in an encrypted format, and no one can see this information.

 Umang provides easy access to Indian government services including health, finance, education, housing, energy, agriculture, transportation to utility, employment and skills.
