- ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
- Key Accountabilities of the Role
- Ensure timely collections/payments, accounting and periodic reconciliation of account balances with statements/confirmations.
- Ensure full adherence to SOPs and policies while being insightful for continuous improvement to existing policies and procedures.
- Foster respect and teamwork within the department and motivate team members to deliver to their highest potential.
- Your key Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate books and records relating to the assigned function up to date on a real-time basis. Learn and socialize SOPS within the team and ensure strict adherence to SOPS, including formats and controls.
- Ensure day to day accounting is complete ensuring appropriate checks, internal/external reconciliations/confirmations and required documentation and approvals.nEnsure timely collections/payments, its accounting and periodic reconciliation of account balances with statements/confirmations.
- Reviewing financial information relating to the assigned functions and preparing financial reports and insights including compliance/exception reports. Prepare financial analysis & performance reports of companies/Departments.
- Assist in cash flow forecasts/budgets/forecasts/variance reporting.Supervise and review work of team members and ensure timely and efficient conclusion of all reporting requirements.
- Ensure real time accounting for the day to day financial operations by coordinatingtimely information flow between departments.
- Ensure day to day accounting is complete ensuring appropriate checks, internal/external reconciliations/confirmations and required documentation and approvals.
- Ensure timely collections/payments, its accounting and periodic reconciliation of account balances with statements/confirmations.
- Maintain sufficient records, logs, trackers, reconciliations and dashboards. Support in preparing required compliance and exception reports.
- Ensure inventory records are accurate by ensuring periodic physical counts and timely reconciliations with books.
