Abdul Hakeem's son Salman works in Qatar. When they planned to go home and build a house, they had in mind a house of their choice at a low cost. So Abdul Hakeem prepared the plan of the house and designed the interior in advance. After this the construction of the house was supervised by D&E Architects at Kottayam.
They built the house on 1300 square feet. Unlike ordinary houses, the roof is not concrete and the tile is laid after the truss work. Below this, the ceiling was covered with ACP sheet. For this reason, this house is less hot than other work houses.

The electrical wiring, plumbing and painting work was done by the householders themselves. As a result, they were able to get paid for the above work. The 1,300-square-foot home has a veranda, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The use of timber was restricted to reduce costs and concrete slabs were provided for doors and windows.

Kitchen cabinets are made of aluminum fabrication work. The cabinets in the bedrooms are also fabricated and ready. In addition, they have set up a mini dining table in the work area.
When the total structure of the house was completed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh, the rest was furnishing. Even there, they cut costs. I looked at the offer and bought the furniture online. In addition, when the two bedrooms were fitted with ACs and the furnishing was completed, the total cost was Rs. 7 lakhs. Thus, a total of 1300 square feet was completed at a cost of Rs 17 lakh. The time taken to complete the entire housework is four months.
